Dextrose is added to table salt to stabilize the iodide. [Those table salts without iodide will not contain dextrose.] At http://www.saltinstitute.org/37.html, you can learn how adding iodide to something as common and quotidian as table salt reduced the occurance of goiters, thyroid disease, and mental retardation in this country.
Cruising over to the Real Salt site (http://www.realsalt.com), I realize, I’ve seen it in the market, but have not tried it. Hmmm…
