Couple observations:
1) I don’t believe Obama is fluent in any languages besides English, so he should just STFU (and someone ought to call him on it; does McCain speak another language? I do.)
2) I think you could find a job on the basis of knowing Cobol or Fortran a lot easier than knowing French, so I wouldn’t be quite so fast to declare them obsolete. French, well…
