I could take one more jab at Harry Reid, but I won’t.

Instead I will say that going whole hog towards energy independence will clear up the economic ills the very night such an announcement is made. It will require great resources, both public and private, create jobs, give investors a clear direction in which to move, eventually refill the depleted capital of banks–initially from investment and eventually from deposits from overseas sales of energy and energy technology. We’ve done this during WWII, retooling America, and we did it with the space program. We’re very good at this. There were protests during WWII, and during the growth of the space program, but enough people got on with the show to transform the nation.

The only thing interesting about Reid is that the rest of America already knows what I just said, and will become increasingly upset with Congress for not getting on with it. So, how low can Congressional approval ratings go? Is zero a statistical possibility?
