Try that same question for the establishment Media “stars” AND for the “representatives of the People” bound on oath to “Uphold and Defend” that LAW as documented and witness to the intention of the founders. The Constitution has not yet been declared invalid by the Legislature,Judiciary etc.
Much easier to simply ignore it and CHANGE it without due process, Process detailed in the document. The answer to your question is in the question, AND the reasons we have this mess on our hands.
When the ordinary citizens know the Law of the Land better than the Legislators, Judiciary and Executive. You notice these are “educated” persons. And that many of them if not actually most are “lawyers”.
If Congressmen/Senators do not have the Constitution inscribed in their minds/memories, what value is the oath they take on accepting the privilege of representation? No surprise then their infidelity to their oath throughout living memory.
