I’m a 49 yr old never married, heterosexual FEMALE, and I think older single women are viewed with less suspicion than men. I’ll hear friends make a “must be gay”or “whats wrong with him?” comment about a 40 something year old single man, and when I remind them I am also 40something and unmarried they say, “Oh its diferent with women”. Pure silliness of course. People dont marry for many reason, mine being “It just did’nt happen”. I’m ok with that.
Occasionally married women want to fix me up. But it is always the UNHAPPILY married ones. Misery wants company i guess. The happily married women are content to leave me alone.
