If you can’t make peace with your enemies, then you must resign yourself to (1) expelling them, (2) destroying them or (3) beating or starving them into submission.
No point in getting depressed about it; it takes two to make peace, and Arabs didn’t want to make any such choice that included the existence of the State of Israel – or even the presence of Jews, for that matter.
