You really have drunk the kool-aid, haven’t you? How do you get by, believing that the sky is falling every single day of your life? The past is different, of course. Yesterday you were brave, things were good, reagan/bush/bush kept you safe. It’s only TODAY that everything’s going to hell. Right? Of course, tomorrow it’ll be different.
You guys aren’t conservatives. You’re something else. You convince yourselves that you’re under perpetual threat, and whether or not you can prove it, the slightest possibility of risk means that the other 95% of the planet has to put up with you stomping around, telling everyone how it’s going to be and threatening them. The rest of the world wonders what you’ve been smoking and why you have be in their face all the time.
For god’s sake, stop watching fox. Read some history books. Pick up a copy of kenneth waltz’ two books. Understand that yes, there ARE bears in the woods, but you don’t have to kill all of the bears before you can feel safe.
