And what about the strong libertine elements in our culture? If a thirteen-year-old is old enough to abort her fetus, if school students learn to put condoms on bananas, if our culture is telling young girls that sexual experimentation is not only okay, but healthy, then we shouldn’t be surprised at this metaphorical Lolita popping up everywhere.
