while I appreciate the snub of the Obama’s, it gives me no real joy, because it is a signal of the gulf that has opened between 2 countries which fought side-by-side throughout the last century. Britain has been one of our staunchest allies in recent decades. We are that much weaker in the world without them close at our side.
Fortunately, I believe this will all be easily rectified by the next President, who will embrace once again the country whose heritage we share.
