As an American filmmaker who believes in common sense, I’d hope that “an Iranian-American filmmaker who believes in truth and humanity” would spend a fraction of his energy and time exposing the rape which Islam committed against his culture of origin 1.5 thousand years ago, rather than fuming over a fictional movie of a historic event from 2.5 thousand years ago.
Until all the non-Arab Muslims and Muslim apostates of the world face facts and admit to the rest of us that ISLAM is simply a fascist vehicle to impose a genocidal Arab tribal culture over the rest of the world, they don’t have much credibility criticizing anything else in the world, especially fictional films.
Oh — and I’m sick to the gills of the endless umbrage expressed by all the angry middle easterners all the time. Let’s see you focus some of that extreme rage AGAINST your fascist Islamic rulers rather than against creative Westerners…
That would be nice for a change, and probably do a lot more to gain friends from among the free people of the West.
Let’s keep things in perspective: Islamic despots and governments are committing the most heinous atrocities against non-Muslims (*and Muslims too) across the globe.
Tell the truth about Islam. Admit the fact that this belief system is not being hijacked by a tiny minority of extremists, but is instead at its very core a sewer of hatred, human degradation, violence, and lies.
“Truth and humanity” require nothing less from the apparently tiny minority of honest Muslims of the world.
