Democtitus – Just Educate! That’s a nice bumper sticker answer with only one glaring problem. Lies, liars and the liars that tell lies while “educating” the gullible,useful idiots they need to further their cause. One mans education is another mans propoganda.
Regardless of your theology, and we ALL have one, I choose to error on the side of peace through strategic aggression vs. appeasment of the sponsors of terror and negotiation with implied threat vs. why can’t we all just get along. Obviously, we don’t always have to strike the bad characters with the sword of correction but we damn well better have a sword and be ready to use it even pre-emptively.
I can hear the whiners already… who says we should be “correcting” anyone when we’ve got our own problems. Well, life just isn’t that simple anymore is it? There is absolute truth and whether you choose to believe it or not doesn’t change the facts.
I can only conclude, based on the evidence, that the education through propoganda by the world forces and ideologies that desire to subjugate and dominate in the name of greed and power (including theology) have had tremendous success in polluting the weak minds of those who can’t or won’t think for themselves.
While the world struggles with the reality of madmen bent on destruction, some would rather prepare to defend what we hold dear, as imperfect as it is, rather than the alternative which is to criticize and condemm those who take a firm stand to work with one hand and carry our sword in the other.
