I have not seen the film yet, but I thought I would mention a few reasons why I am thankful for the Greeks who beat back the Persians.
1. If Persia had conquered Greece the notion that an Empire with a Emperor who ruled by divine right is a democracy might sound reasonable. I am glad I don’t live on that planet.
2. Western Culture still exists while the Persians traded theirs for Arab culture when they converted to Islam.
3. I’m not FARSHAD BON. Seriously Far, do you really think you are going to regulate what we write, believe, watch and think? Do you plan on Failing us to death?
4. My (Western) civilization is not the same as persian civilization.
Iranians, do any of you actually believe that an American is going to hate you and your culture because of a movie? If an American hates you or your culture it probably isn’t because of hollywood.
