To the people agreeing with the main point of this article: have you not seen or heard of recent movies like Syriana? Lord of War? Alexander? Kingdom of Heaven? How about Good Night, and Good Luck? The same arguments the author makes about 300 could be applied to these movies, except in reverse. And unlike 300, which is full of fantasy elements and is based on a COMIC BOOK, some of the films listed above were meant by their creators to be taken seriously.
I guess the bottom line is, if you were expecting historical accuracy or honesty from Hollywood, well, good luck with that.
