When a movie is based on fiction character names are to be fictitious as well. What would you think if names of American historical figures were used instead of king Xrexes? Maybe Lincoln or Washington? I know as an American I would still sign petitions and voice my opinion on not defaming real historical characters in cheap rubbish movies such as 300.
