It is against the Teachings of the Baha’i Faith to proselytize and providing an article on how Baha’is choose to support Human Rights issues is hardly proselytizing. Re: your article – the comments made are this individual person’s opinion and experiences. Many meaningful spiritual conversations are occurring between Baha’is and followers of other faith backgrounds and Baha’is approach conversations with a spirit of love and unity. It is unfortunate that you have had such poor experiences, but again this goes back to the idea of remembering the importance of not judging an entire group of people based on a few that there were issues with.

You originally veered away from the subject of this discussion board to express your frustrations over your girlfriend leaving you and ask about why she would defend Islam when the Iranian government is persecuting Baha’is. I was simply trying to offer something towards that question and my comments were meant to be helpful. But, of course, I understand if you wish to disregard them – that is your right to do so.

Take care -
