Rah, only some libertarians support a “non-interventionist” foreign policy. Most libertarians are Goldwaterites who are Strong on Defense, and most especially in favor of fighting Radical Islam.

Romney is quite libertarian. He even said in an interview in the summer of 2007 that he wasn’t in favor of “regulating people’s viewing habits” in response to a question on pornography.

Sarah Palin? Even more libertarian. She actively pursued the Libertarian Party endorsement in her race for Governor in 2006, and received it in the end. She has attended at least two Libertarian Party meetings in Alaska. Her views almost entirely coincide with the views of libertarians. She has numerous libertarian supporters in and around Anchorage. Libertarians campaigned at her side during the election, literally, holding signs for her on busy street corners. On election night when she won over Tony Knowles, in downtown Anchorage Egan Ctr. she made it a point to publicly thank the Libertairan Party for their support, and even gave LP Chairman Jason Dowell a nice hug.

Libertarians will be pleased with Romney selected as McCain’s VP, even more pleased with Palin.
