1. The West is not culturally barren.
Study the Latin and Greek classics, study the Enlightenment in detail, and you will know that this is true. Study the history of the West and the conflict with the East and its ancient, pre-Christian and pre-Islamic roots.
2. Christianity does indeed set limits on behavior. Read the catechisms of the Western and Eastern churches, read the words of the Pope and Patriarchs and then read the patristic fathers. You will get all the limits and structure you need there.
3. Understand the ways in which Christianity, Western philosophy and Islam are diametrically opposed. Even a cursory reading of history and Islamic texts should make it abundantly clear that Islam is the rule of an irrational faith, the West is the rule of reason.

One culture demands perfection.

The other demands forbearance of human frailty and structures that allow rather than forbid action.
The women who are converting are extraordinarily ignorant of their own culture– that’s why why they find it so easy to dismiss. Once one converts to Islam, the requirement is clear– they must abandon any study or concern about the culture of their birth.
