Another excellent comment. I rarely go to church. The church has moved too far to the left for me. When priets started taking political (read left) sides and advocating for illegal aliens, abortion is okay, we should not fight for our freedoms and that, as you say, moral relativism and PC are the guiding principles that is when I left. Actually I left when it became obvious that the church began allowing openly homosexual men into the order. The church gave up on kids and youth. Just let them go after the pedophile scandal. So now churches are a sea of gray and blue haired faithful who have no idea that the church they grew up with is not the church they place their faith in today.
My sister is devout but yet supports abortion and the welfare state. Talk about your cognitive dissonance. We have had too many arguments over the church’s stance so I gave up.
