I rather think she was looking for subjugation. It’s not a nice thing to think of a woman, but there you have it. I’ve known a lot of women who went out looking for bad boys. And when the current one does them wrong, they go looking for another.
It’s a way of playing out a death wish, while remaining alive to enjoy it.
