Mr. London, I’ve been thinking the same thing for years, since 9/11. I remember seeing a children’s book on Islam in my local public library. In it, a preteen girl explained why she was attracted to Islam when exposed to it by a friend; it offered her something her liberal Christian church did not. How could she believe in a religion that was so wishy-washy and open to interpretation? Her church refuted itself. I’ve seen this happen in the Catholic church. We will be seeing many more of these conversions, as young people are exposed to Islam through classmates. Their conversions will be reinforced by curricula that promotes Islam over Christianity and by presentation of it as the religion of the oppressed.
