Why Would a Woman Convert to Islam?

As I see it, Christianity’s unwillingness to assert the limits of behavior — a loss of confidence, if you will — has given Islam the upper hand with women who are suggestible and vulnerable to propaganda.

It depends on the type of Christianity, but the big problem is the state’s attacks on it. The cultural outlook of the Islamic converts isn’t Christianity but accidentalism. A culture that teaches that everything is by chance — which really has become the state-sanctioned position in the West — is going to ultimately fail to one that insists that it is not.

What is especially ironic is that those hold cultural — and even governmental — power are far less anti-Islamic than anti-Christian. Where are the expressions of outrage by civil rights groups against cab drivers who refuse passengers with seeing eye dogs? Where are the movies that depict Islam as narrow-minded and intolerant? How about one on that young lady who had to go into hiding because she supported drawing pictures of Mohammed?

Why, for Pete’s sake, would women wearing burkas get special privileges at airport passenger screenings?
