I knew a young woman who did this. She basically followed leftist fads. If she had lived in the 1930s, she would have been a communist. Being born in the 1980s, she found that this option had faded away, so she lived as a lesbian in college, and then after 9/11 converted to Islam. The last I heard, she had married some guy from the Middle East who a few years later abandoned her. Serves her right.
