Poll Watcher In Texas

I am a poll watcher. Took the test, read the statutes, took notes, and reported errors, omissions, and lapses in good practices. Did the poll clerks and judges like it? NO! Did the administrator of the elections for the county have heartburn? YES! When you first put a saddle on a wild horse, it bucks in panic. This is their wake up call and we have 24 months now to clean up the rolls before 2012. Most of the early voting is done and we are in the ready for November 2. The simple presence of a poll watcher makes poll staff weak in the knees BECAUSE many have never been questioned before. Please volunteer. Please get and stay informed with your county laws. Your notes are legal documents that can be used in a court of law. Guard them. We want a true count. We want enforcement of protocol. We want a true vote.
