I don’t know what bunches Dr. Ledeen’s shorts worse — the possibility that Hersh might have better information and more reliable sources, or the thought that the US might actually be planning the attacks without asking Michael for his invaluable input on a war he feels quite proprietary about. Ledeen has an Ahab-like obsession with crushing Iran, possibly out of a deep personal need to “get it right” on just one war, sometime, somewhere, before even FoxNews writes him off as a crank. Iran is his last chance at vindication.
He’s an expert on Iran, you know. Just ask him. But don’t look took closely at his track record.
