No, Professor Ahmed, the Founders Were Not So Fond of Islam
Please all of you read the response in the Washington Post posted above. Dr. Akbar Ahmed is a wonderful American, an exceptional Muslim, and an incredible human being. Clearly Laura does not have her facts straight nor has she met Dr. Ahmed in person to know that his true intentions are to spread love and compassion and build bridges of understanding between different religions and cultures. I know Dr. Ahmed personally and he is admired and respected by Muslims, Christians, Jews, Republicans and Democrats. We need more Muslims like him to stand up for what is right and promote peace instead of violence. Have any of you read his book Journey Into America? Or anything else he has published? Shame on all of you for your complete and utter stupidity.
