Congress, both houses, are in charge of the laws that allow through paid leases where, when and how the oil companies can drill for oil. It’s illegal to drill in the Atlantic, the Gulf, the Rockies, and Alaska. All the talk by Obama and McCain is bogus. There are 435 Congressmen/women and 100 Senators that control 300 million of us. These are the facts folks.
Our wonderful government grabs 25% of the top of the oil companies profit plus the costs of the leases and they are talking about a windfall tax. I love the internet because it makes the baloney the politicians spread as the truth as bogus as they are.
