Thanks AnalogMan. This is bizarre in itself, unless someone somewhere somehow has been trying to manipulate the system in nefarious ways. For instance could some gov’t authority (parliament? ministry?) have been trying hard to muzzle Geert Wilders by triggering some kind of kangaroo process? Maybe this agent (yet to be identified) chickened out when realizing he was not going to get away with it, and let the prosecutors act properly.

What if the trial, which must proceed anyway, reveals who was trying to defeat free speech, and ultimately, for what purpose? So, maybe this is not the last of it. Before you have any chance to defeat the jihadists, you have to defeat their western apologists in the first place, so Geert Wilders still has some serious mountains climbing ahead of him.
