After more than a thousand years of vile racist persecution Jews have become used to being victims, victimhood is one of the defining characteristics of their cultural psychology. The status of victim confers a sense of moral superiority which many Jews (especially those not actually in physical danger, like American Jews)miss. Olmert got it in one when he expressed his boredom with winning, the implication of which is a desire for defeat. Since the spectacular propaganda victory of the Arabs, Jews are now seen as persecutors and their genocidal enemies as victims. The jewish psyche is simply not equipped to deal with this. A mere sixty years after the holocaust they have had enough, Israel has become an embarrassment to them.
What American jews are actually saying is “if we let you kill the Jews in Israel will you love us again?”. Of course it doesn’t work like that as any battered wife who has finally freed herself from an abusive relationship knows.
American Jews needn’t worry, no matter who is the POTUS, Israel is unlikely to survive the next few decades and then they can revert to being the cuddly self-deprecating Woody Alan types that everybody loves and, even if you do something as morally repugnant as having sex with your teenage step-daughter, forgives.
So, yes, it makes sense for American Jews to vote for the Big 0, his presidency is likely to hasten the destruction of those pesky Israeli Jews who just don’t seem to understand that self-defence and survival is so unJewish.
