Obama true-believers are not just looking at a candidate, they’re looking at a savior and a messiah, so it really doesn’t matter what he says or does, they’ll find ways to excuse it. What I read, often, on internet forums is, “Barack didn’t even like that seal; Axelrod forced it on him,” and “Barack didn’t want to say that but they made him,” remarks.

Either he’s his own man, or he’s not. Either he is in charge of what happens on his campaign (that’s the standard for every other candidate) or he’s a puppet being put in place as a mere figurehead.

The guy seems increasingly like an empty suit, to me, and I was excited about him at first. Now he’s just like any other politician. He’ll say anything, do anything, throw over any priniciple to win. And we’re all supposed to just ignore it all, and not think about the fact that he’s got no executive experience, hardly any legislative experience, no management experience, no military experience, or we’re mean.

Obama has changed. He’s not the guy he first seemed to be.
