We have a overpass intersection that is being constructed outside Towson, MD and the work is being done by union workers. The signs are the only thing moving most days and that is only if there is a stiff wind.
I don’t know how union contractors get paid but in this case it appears to be by the month. More months on the job before completion, more money paid. It must be the Chicago style of construction. Most of the workers are over sixty and only appear to work when the polls are open.
