‘Diversity’ Perversity: NY Schools Teaching Whitewashed Islamic History
as I mentioned in the above post I wanted to copy some specific history but it took me longer than I expected. Here is the excerpt and enough information for an interested party to follow up on it. Since the Cordoba house is in current news and is spelled Cordova here we are taking about the Muslim reign in Spain.
Thielman J. van Braght compiled his Martyr’s Mirror around 1660 in the Dutch language and is currently available from Mennonite Publishing in Moundridge, Kansas, This account is found on pages 255-57 This seems to be the fifth English edition.
A lamentable persection of the Christians in the region of Cordova, by the Arabians, instituted by their king habdarrhaghman, A, D, 923
A, D, 923. a terrible persecution was raised by th rabians against the Christian believers, in the region of Cordova, This occoured mainly through the wockedness of the Arabian King Habdarrhman IV, who allowed himself to be called ;protector of the law of God, and king of the believers; but, being filled with bitter hatred against the true law of Jesus Chist, and, consequently, also against the true /christian believrs, he considered and declared all Christians unbelievers and despisers of the law of God. But he did not stop at this, but raged against them in an awful manner, yea, and persecuted them with fire and sword. One thing, however, in connection with this grieves us to the very heart, namely, that the records of the pious witnesses of Jesus Christ who were killed by him, Have all been lost, except if two, namely, Egenia and a youth of thirteen years of whom we we shall give an account pesently. Touching said persecution compare A. Mell., 2d book, fol. 312, col. 2, withy Ruderic., Archiep.Tolet., and Alii.Rev, Hisp. Script.
Then follows the account of the beheading of Euginia and the boy having his arms and legs cut off then finally beheaded,. The full account is longer than i wish to copy here but does raise some disturbing questions about the religion of the Arabian king. This information is currently available in print but as far as I know is not available on line.
