The Franklin quote–Achmed’s, the one that states that Franklin thought muslims were compassionate, refers to a comment from Franklin about badly behaving Christians and how he thought muslims were more compassionate. He was saying that muslims are bad, but these people were worse.
Most of the ‘supportive’ quotes are like that–deliberate misinterpretations.
