Letters Show Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX) Steered CBC Scholarship Money Directly to Her Grandsons
“Rectifying the financial situation” is not sufficient. Her grandsons are old enough to go to college which means they should be over the age of 18 and therefore old enough to sign statements that they were not related to her. If they did sign, or just in case they were still under age while they were in high school, their parents signed, they should be prosecuted for fraud.
A fine and imprisonment for the signer for the crime of fraud should be mandatory in addition to paying restitution.
Term limits is not the answer. Lengthy prison terms should accompany outright theft in office.
