A long time ago, I figured out that people are more likely to be stupid than evil. Very few bad people wake up in the morning thinking, “Hmmm, how can I make the world a little bit more worse today….” It’s much more likely they instead wake up and think (in so many words), “Hmmm, let me go spread some half-ass rumors I heard from utterly unreliable sources in order to disparage people I don’t like and further my own misbegotten beliefs.”
That’s basically what you guys are doing and have been doing.
