“Religious freedom? Sounds nice, reads well, but in practice the American public is adverse to any religion other than Christianity. Is that religious freedom? Gallup polls have shown that 38% of Americans wouldn’t vote for the best qualified candidate simply because he or she is Muslim and 48% would reject an Atheist. And what about these two groups chances in the job market if they make their faith or lack thereof known?”
As ignorant a statement about religious freedom I have ever read! Religious freedom is that you can practice your religion without being jailed or harrassed by the gov’t. It doesn’t mean there are ramifications to you believing or not believing and nobody is required to accept your beliefs as valid.
