I don’t think the media simply minimizes the threat of ecoterrorism – in some cases they actually promote it. Whale Wars, on (ironically, Discovery Channel affiliate) Animal Planet, is, plain and simple, a show that glorifies a rag-tag band of eco-terrorists. These aren’t heroes or saints – they are criminals who like to use violence to attain what they want. That makes them terrorits, yet they get their own tv show. Great.
