Along with yesterday’s news that Michelle was undergoing a “make-over” — comes the release today of Obama’s first general election ad.
It’s obvious both intend to reveal a softer, more mainstream, America-loving candidate and wife. Take care not to forget what preceded the transformations.
Obama has had almost a year and a half to be honest with the American people. Instead, he has engaged in prevarication. Anything – anything – he says now cannot be trusted. His word is no longer good. He squandered that opportunity.
There are many who believe he can still win: Americans want ‘change’ too much, they say. What fools. I want change too, perhaps for different reasons. But I can wait. Learn the virtue of patience. And the sober responsibility of your vote.
There is a bottom-line issue here. We are a nation at war. This is no time to err in choosing our leader. We need to be assured of that man’s qualifications. And his loyalties.
There’s only one man who passes that test for me. It’s not Barack Obama.
