In a nutshell this latest charade by the Palestinian leader is the perfect example why the whole peace process has always and will continue to fail.
The Palestinians are not negotiating in good faith towards a fair and agreed upon settlement with the Israelis. The Palestinians are now, always have been, and probably will continue to use these talks as another front in their war to destroy Israel.
Abbas’s “condemnation” was not meant to condemn Hamas for the unprovoked, cold blooded murder of innocent Israeli civilians. For Abbas the murders were wrong because they harm the Palestinian cause by reminding people of the savagery, bloodthirstyness, and untrustworthiness of the Palestinians. That is, it makes it difficult for Abbas to conceal from the international community the real goals of the Palestinians and the peace talks, the destruction of Israel and the genocide of the Jewish People.
