The most interesting possibility for me is Chris Christie – although he has said many times he’s not interested – at least in 2012. I like his style and the video of him dressing down that ‘sensitive’ reporter is simply hilarious. He has enough mess on his hands cleaning up the toxic mess in New Jersey. Yes he’s a bit of a smart-ass but in a good natured way. So is Obama – but in a more cynical manner.

For me that leaves Sarah Palin – who has been collecting IOU’s left and right across the nation. I think she has the smarts to run this country but I doubt she’d be a uniter. The MSM wouldn’t allow it – but then again they’d have been all over McCain had he been elected – no matter how appeasing he were to the left.

I think the message has sunk in – eh John? They only loved you for sticking a finger in Bush’s eye – not for being a ‘maverick’ – because you never were – you were a useful idiot to the MSM. About the only thing I can thank McCain for is his service to our country – and for shining a spotlight on a then unknown Sarah Palin. Without that we’d never have heard of her.

Barbour? From what I’ve seen of him in the coverage of the Katrina aftermath he seems to be getting things done without the whining we hear that is so prevalent from his democrat counterparts who’ve had their palms outstretched toward DC instead of doing the hard work that breeds success. Getting things done is what we expect from Republicans. He reminds me more of a farmer than a Governor.
