The AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming) crowd have a huge investment, time, money and personal reputations, in developing and “proving” this theory. To have it shredded on the basis of alleged data manipulation, undeniable truths and long ignored, alternate views of qualified scientific peers, experts in related fields, is a disaster likely to seriously tarnish their professional reputations and hinder their ability to attract lucrative funding for future scientific endeavors, the lifeblood of their existence. This quest to demonize industrial activity throughout the world and especially here in the United States has taken on the evangelical characteristics of a religion, a zealotry adopted by adherents who disguise their significant financial interests in so called “Green Technology” by proclaiming their altruistic intentions to “save the planet from impending doom.” I doubt this farce will end anytime soon.
