I really don’t get this – by any standard, Solis Doyle is known to be incompetent and unqualified for the position, so why would Obama hire her?
Why would you hire someone who essentially threw Clinton’s campaign?
Does this mean Solis Doyle deliberately sabotaged Clinton’s campaign, and this is the payback?
And why can’t the VP appoint her or his or its own Chief of Staff? Seems to me the VP deserves at least some input into who gets this position.
Maybe Percy is right and it’s all about connections. But aren’t there other people, just as well connected, with less baggage than Solis Doyle?
