This article by Mr. Moran is a disappointment.

I see rambling argument by assertion, special pleading, ad hominem attacks, and straw man constructs among other fallacies. I don’t see a piece of good journalism. I don’t see proof.

I don’t believe Obama is now a Muslim, but I have seen sufficient evidence that concinces me he may have been raised as a nominal Muslim while a boy.

Also, based on what I have read and observed so far about the man — he appears to embellish and edit his past to create a clever and deliberate impression until irrefutable facts get in the way. (He never heard Reverend Wright slander America or launch into white-hating race baiting, his soon-to-be sentenced chum is not the Tony Rezko felon he once knew, he barely knows Bill Ayers…) When facts intrude, Mr Obama then revises his position to comport with the new “reality”. This is extremely disturbing.

As for not caring which god a candidate believes in, which Mr. Moran asserts as his position, such glib insouciance makes me shudder. If he knew much about Islam, and hadn’t fecklessly subscribed to the sinister obscrantism of a notorious Islamic apologist such as Eli Eteraz, Mr. Moran would know that the triumphalist genocidal Jew-hating Christian-loathing but most of all unbeliever-exterminating supremacist god known as “Allah” (which the Muslims worship) is a terrifying god indeed. But Mr. Moran is (sadly) not alone in his lazy and deadly blitheness. He joins our entire State Department, much of our law enforcement, nearly the entire executive branch under Bush, nearly the entire MSM, and nearly the entire American Academy, in subscribing to the insanity that Islam is a religion of peace, that we have nothing to fear from Muslims or Islam. He also joins many of those in resorting to the slander that those among us who warn otherwise are the worst kinds of bigots, racists, and demagogues. This is political correctness run amok.

How unfortunate, then, that an article which purports to debunk a set of nasty unwarranted lies actualy does much to perpetuate a much larger nasty lie: those who are worried about Obama’s slippery murky past, those who probe his sympathies and Islamic background are terrible fringe actors and lunatics of the worst kind. Shame on you, Rick Moran.
