Um, maybe because Obama is playing “Denunciation Wars” and anybody who fails to denounce smear jobs with sufficient vigor is then accused of complicity?
The rules are:
If you say something bad about Obama, it’s a lie, an untruth, a vicious rumor, and you must be silent.
If somebody is saying something bad about Obama and you tell them to shut up because it’s an untruth, a vicious rumor, you must be silent because otherwise you’re just spreading a vicious lie.
If somebody is saying something bad about Obama and you remain silent, then you’re complicit in spreading a vicious lie.
