I believe you have mischaracterized Buddhism, which actually isnt a religion, but a way of approaching reality, which in fact teaches that the Buddha nature is within everyone, including other living creatures, and seeks not to “put someone in the driver’s seat” but to get individuals to realize that their mind is not coterminous with their ego….Buddhism has also been the cause of no wars or persecutions and does not claim divine word or book, and is by far the most tolerant “religion”….
