The Iraqi, Auchi, is an interesting character. He’s the source of the funds Mrs. Rezko used to purchase the vacant lot next to Obama’s mansion.
As you will recall, the seller required that both properties close escrow on the same day — Rezko paid full price for the vacant lot, while Obama was able to negotiate a substantial discount on the mansion. Not that there was any coordination…purely coincidental and above board. After all both Rezko and Obama denied that Obama was able to cut a better deal, so that should be the end of it.
