*Anecdotal information alert* … I work for a small UK-based firm with a U.S. office. I’ll note that one by one, so far 4 Brits have now transferred to the U.S. office (including 2 of the 3 co-founders), another is due soon, and yet another one confided in me that he tried to move to the U.S. years ago but couldn’t get a work visa. Meanwhile none of us Americans has expressed any interest in transferring the other direction, as far as I know. Nice enough to visit, as they say, but wouldn’t want to live there.
