People like you mesmorize me by calling Obama a socialist.. Me personally, I can’t say that he is.. Because a Socialist or better yet SOCIALISM is a economic system in which the production and distribution of goods are controlled substantially by the government rather than by private enterprise, and in which cooperation rather than competition guides economic activity. There are many varieties of socialism. Some socialists tolerate capitalism, as long as the government maintains the dominant influence over the economy; others insist on an abolition of private enterprise. All communists are socialists, but not all socialists are communists.
With that said.. In the HISTORY of the WORLD.. there is a little bit of socialism in every President.. Though, I don’t see any government rule on any of these enterprises… NOW lets talk BP and the oil spill.. .If it was SOCIALISM.. It would be lawful for the Government/Obama to step in and give BP a “SPANKING”, but they can’t because they are a private enterprise and the government has no sanctions.. Now.. everybody chimed in and said.. “Why isn’t Obama doing anything about the oil spill”, “I don’t like how Obama is handling the oil spill” and blah, blah blah,
But what can he/the government do? nothing, because this is a capitalistic society.. So at one minute you want him to employ socialist ideologies and then point your finger and say “HEY HE’s A Socialist”.. That’s really funny..
Secondly, at times Capitalism and Socialism go hand in had.. a socialist tolerates capitalism/capitalist, because the free enterprise boost the economy.. but “WE” the consumers have to use the products.. It has to be a supply and demand.. GM bailout?? Lot of Supply, But No Demand, “WE” the consumers were not buying vehicles.. we were holding on to what we had in sights of future fuel prices rising.. and inflations in the housing market..etc..
So stimulate the economy with stimulus checks hoping that it will be spent on big purchases, i.e. automobiles.. homes..etc.. But if you were smart.. You’d put it is a safe deposit box.. and left it..
So the socialist thing should be directed to every leader and president around the world.. everybody has a little socialism in them.. and some of the Marxist ideas are not bad.. it’s not evil.. it’s not communist.. Remember.. every communist is a socailist, but not all socaialist are communist.. A large portion of the socialist ideologies look to boost equality.. and alleviate the rich get rich and poor get more poor syndrome.. Read some ideologies and remove the prejudices and pre-judgement..
