That Jew holding the “reserved” seat is not free to speak his mind. If he were, say, to speak up for Israel’s right of self-defense, or to demand that Jewish schools be free to hire teachers of their own choosing, to set their own schedules and teach to their own values, they’d be arrested before one could shout “infidel”.

Most Jews there could only dream of the freedoms they enjoyed before the Shah was overthrown. I visited there in 1976. At least 70% of Iran’s Jews have fled since then, and for good reason.
