Support for Arizona Immigration Law Cleaves Along Racial Lines
Why is it okay for illegal Hispanics to sneak into this country, birth an anchor, get state and federal benefits including free education, health,sustenance and to even own property when those same “rights” are denied me if I go into theirs? And let’s quit calling them Hispanics. The Portuguese resent it. Besides we all know the governments in place were created by colonial powers who’s elite retained all the power, property and prosperity. Talk about racisim! Most are Native Americans and mestizos (mixed blood). They have been denied economic and political power in their own countries and some even blame the U.S. for their poverty and despair. The villains here are the South and Central American governments, both the so called democratic and authoritarian kinds. Immigrants know they have a better future here than back in the old country…regardless of their legal status. That’s why they come, but to wave a flag of the country that treated them so miserably rather than assimilate and become legal is not only foolish, it’s disrespectful and dissing us won’t improve your lot. If you are really a patriot, return to your countries and work to fix the problem, if not then join us legally and enjoy the fruits of your labor. This is the land of opportunity…not handouts, entitlements and amnesty. The next election should give you a clue.
