A few years ago, Mr.Massimo D’Alema wrote a book named “A Normal Country”. Well, as you can see, Italy is a not-so-normal country. Italy is a notable exception in the West. The only country ruled by a few parties, naming themselves “communists” (and proud to be); the only western country where communist terrorism is still alive and kicking.

Mr.Prodi and Mr.Fassino are not Mr.Gerhard Schroeder, who said “no” in making a coalition with the far-left party of Mr.Lafontaine and Mr.Gysi. This is the main difference between a “normal” country and Italy, a country always looking in the rearview mirror.
